polly's house

polly lives downtown in a big open loft with 16 foot ceilings. mama used to teach yoga there. there aren't that many walls, in fact the only walls are in the bathroom & polly's room. polly's room is by the kitchen, underneath mama & papa's space. they built a bedroom for her when she was a baby so she could have her own room like a regular girl. they made a wall out of glass bricks and scrounged a door from a dumpster. mama painted the door pink but now it's covered in stickers.

polly likes living in a big space with no walls because she's allowed to rollerblade & jump rope inside. when she was little she used to ride her tricycle in there too. all the neighbors are artists & muscicians & actors.

polly's lived there her whole life. she can't imagine living anyplace else.
