the conductor

sometimes when polly can't sleep she pretends she's on a train that's going to sleepytown. the conductor is a nice old man with a big mustache & has a gold watch on a chain. he says things to polly like it's time to settle down now miss, we’re on our way to sleepytown. we should be there real soon so why don't you close your eyes & relax.

sometimes polly get's scared she'll miss the stop to sleepytown, what if she sleeps through it? where will she end up then?! what's the next stop after sleepytown? what if it's nightmaretown? or monstertown?!

she starts to panic but then the conducter comes by & says no need to worry miss, the train runs in a big circle & the only stop we make is sleepytown.
